Artist Submission

 

Are you a painter or potter, a weaver or knitter, a woodcarver or sculptor? Or even a baker, a candy maker or a metal smith?!  What is it you do that expresses your creativity?  Do you love to sew and make useful gifts for the home? Maybe you like to crochet or make cool things from leather.  Do you say, “I’m not a professional artist", when others ask you if you sell your creations? What do you do with all the wonderful pieces you create. Would you like to see them on display in a retail shop and available to purchase seven days a week?

If you are considering being an artist in our gallery, the following information is

what you'll need to get started:

Pricing:  Your choice of one of the following:

​

MEMBERSHIP LEVEL A: Monthly fee of $50.00, earn 60% commission on sales

MEMBERSHIP LEVEL B: Monthly fee of $65.00, earn 70% commission on sales

MEMBERSHIP LEVEL C: Monthly fee of $75.00, earn 80% commission on sales

Participating artists must be residents of:

Santa Cruz County, Santa Clara County, San Benito County, Monterey County, or San Mateo County

 

To become a participating artist in Art of Santa Cruz, we ask for:

• A 6-month commitment

• First and last month’s fees, plus an bi-annual marketing/promotion fee of $50 per venue  (all due upon signing)

• Each artist agrees to donate one piece of their work to the Regional Artisans Association, per 6- month period, to assist with fundraising

• 15 hours of volunteer hours per 6-month period (this averages to 2.5 hours per month). This volunteer requirement can be fulfilled in any number of ways based on an artist’s interests and skills and can be completed at any point in the 6-month contract period. Artists who commit to 3 or more spaces are exempt from this volunteer requirement. Artist unable to volunteer will be charged a monthly fee of $20.
